In 1977, two young drivers had a dream of creating a safer, more stylish world of motorsports and founded Sparco. More than 30 years later and that dream is a consolidated reality. This is Sparco history.

Young people dream. It is hard to realize them. Sparco is born in this way, from a dream of two young Torino racing drivers that decided to increase safety in racing world. That was a period of big crashes and FIA decided to reduce injuries. Sparco starts to presents its products and revolutionized safety concept.

For the very first time Sparco produces a fire proof racing suit, able to fight against fire for 11 seconds, as per FIA 8856-2000 requests. This is only the starting point: from now onward Sparco improves each year, producing better and better fire proof suits. In 1978 Sparco produces also first racing seat. Other products are already well known: fire proof suits, racing shoes, gloves and crash helmets are used in every racing events. It is now the moment for racing seat production: in a few months seats become a Sparco specialties and a reference point for racing world.

Nelson Piquet wins F1 world championship. Sparco is with him. After only 5 years from first steps, Sparco “wins2 a world championship. This is nice: in the same season inside Lancia 037 (world rally champion) is fitted a Sparco racing seat. This year Sparco starts to do something will be usual: to win.

Sparco boost on passion. In 1990 Sparco enters tuning world. Day by day, more and more people are interested in personalizing their cars. Sparco decide to help them and to create a new dedicated product line.

OZ & Sparco, two of the most prestigious motorsport brand, start a strong relationship with the first OZ Sparco Wheel. OZ and Sparco together are synonymous of Italian quality, style and performance all over the world. The mythic OZ Rally Racing Sparco Wheel is an evidence of that.

In 2008 OZ and Sparco sign a long term worldwide licencing agreement. Only OZ can produce and market the original Italian Sparco Wheels.

The first Sparco Wheels collection stars in 2009 with 3 designs: Rally, Pista and Drift.

The Sparco Wheels collection grew up with 2 brand new models: Assetto Gara and RTT524

This s the year of Sparco Tarmac and in particular Sparco Terra wheels that is inspired by the mytic first OZ Sparco wheels of the 90s.

Pro Corsa and RTT are the new wheels collection.

Thanks to the close collaboration between OZ and Sparco Italy, Sparco Wheels enter in the Japanese market.

Sparco Trofeo makes its appearance leaving a mark on the wheel world.
